Striving to live life according to God’s Word

  • When the Words Won’t Come- full post

The name of the picture that I drew at the top of the page is “When the Words Won’t Come”. This shows the Holy Trinity and God’s love for us, the price that Jesus paid on the cross for our sins, and how to receive salvation. The anchor is a symbol of hope; the hope we have as believers in Jesus, that one day soon, Christ will return.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life”. John 3: 16

My Grampa went home to be with Jesus on June 9th, this year. My heart was broken, and it felt like part of it was ripped out of me. I am an inspirational writer, it’s something I love, as well as an outlet. I wanted to write but couldn’t find the words. So, I started to draw. Grampa was in the Navy for 20 years and had a heart for Jesus; this was the inspiration for my drawing. While we didn’t see each other often, we were still very close. When we did see each other, especially as I got older, we had many wonderful conversations about the Bible, and our faith in Christ. We would talk about Revelation and the return of Jesus Christ, as well as the hardships in my own life.

During one of our conversations, I was telling him about all the trials that God has put me through; that it was hard, but I was still happy for the life that He has given me. Grampa listened, and gave me this Bible verse:

“Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content”. Philippians 4: 11

Blog Soup- (until further notice 😂).
